JOHN 14:23
Ever since the beginning of time. God has always demonstrated His love for mankind especially to those that fear Him and keep His commandments.
The Father’s love for His children.
From Adam to Noah to the time of the Christ and even till now, the Ancient of Days is ever concern about the redemption of man to his Divine state. This is evident in the Almighty’s acts of Divine mercy and love; from the fall of man where God clothe and established the first couple, to the flood where God save the world through the faithful man Noah and his family and made a covenant with them, to the exodus where God proved His faithfulness to the promise he made to His friend Abraham and led his descendants out of the land of Egypt.
As God led them to the land of promise, He gave them instructions and commandments which, obedience guaranteed His continual presence among them and consequently, all Goodness. Inasmuch that God said, “And let them make me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them”.
The Israelites still fell back into disobedience, thus reiterating the truth that, as long as man is flesh, the thing of the flesh which work corruption will strive to prevent him from facing reality which are the things of the Spirit.
Redemption into the Divine Nature
However, God in His infinite wisdom provided a means through which man can be redeemed from the physical into the spiritual and that is in the revelation of the Son of Man – His death, resurrection, glorification and outpouring of anointing as well as baptism. All of which accomplished the essence that “there are three that bear witness; the Spirit, the Water and the Blood, and the three agree as one”.
When this is established in an individual, then he can confidently proclaimed that he has become partaker of the Divine nature having escape from the corruption that is in the world (flesh) by lust.
The Habitation of the Divine
The individual has to preserved his body and soul in purity, proving it to be a befitting sanctuary for the habitation of the Divine even as Christ stated, “If a man love me, he will keep my word; and my Father will love him and we will come and make our abode with him”.
And how do we know that he is in us, “if we love one another, God abides in us and His love is perfected in us, hereby we know that we abide in Him and He in us because He in us because He hath given us of His Spirit.”.
And the Psalmist said, “You have made the Most High thy habitation, there shall no evil befall you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling” and most importantly, “if you abide in me and my words abide in you, ask whatsoever you will and it shall be done unto you. Herein is my Father glorified that you bear fruit, and so shall you be my disciple”.
